Ronald G. Doucette, 83, of Bristol, widower of Rena (Cyr) Doucette and Patricia (Violette) Doucette,
passed away on June 8, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.

Born on October 19, 1942, in Grand Isle, ME, he was the son of the late Leon and Irene (Lizotte) Doucette.

Dad was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, foster father to countless children, family member,
and friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic,
sense of humor, and the friendships he built throughout his life.

He opened his heart and home to many children over the years, offering guidance, support,
and love to those who needed it most. He took great pride in his family and cherished every
opportunity to spend time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
and the many foster children whose lives he helped shape.

Dad dedicated many years of his life to his work. He retired from Stanley Works,
a company he was always proud to be a part of. During his years there, he participated in several
Habitat for Humanity projects, helping build homes and improve the lives of families in need.
He found great satisfaction in using his skills to help others and was proud to contribute to work
that made a lasting difference in the community. Even after retirement, he continued working
at Arthur G. Russell, remaining active and connected to a profession he enjoyed.
He often spoke fondly of both places and the people he worked alongside.

Service to others was one of Dad's greatest passions. He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary
and volunteered at the VA Hospital in Newington. He took his volunteer work seriously
and found great joy in helping veterans and spending time with the many friends he made there.
He was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, generously giving his
time in the kitchen during fundraising events and community gatherings.

Many in the community knew Dad as a familiar face at the Eagles Nest, where he enjoyed good food,
good conversation, and the company of friends. He was also a proud member of the "McDonald's Gang,"
a group of friends whose regular gatherings were filled with stories, laughter, and camaraderie.

In his free time, Dad enjoyed the simple things in life that brought him joy.
He loved splitting wood, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, word searches,
and playing cribbage with his friends. He also had a lifelong love of country music,
listening daily to songs from the 1950s through the 1980s.

Dad especially looked forward to his trips to northern Maine to visit his brother, Richard, and his cousin, Guy.
He treasured the long drives north and the time they spent together riding the trails, sharing stories,
laughter, and making memories. Those visits brought him great happiness
and were among the experiences he cherished most.br />
Dad leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, friendship, and devotion to family.
He touched countless lives through his kindness, volunteer service, and willingness to help others.
The lessons he taught through his actions will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends, neighbors, caregivers,
and the many communities Dad was part of for their love, support, visits, calls, prayers, and kindness
during this difficult time. Your support has brought great comfort and will always be deeply appreciated.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the many memories
he leaves behind and the example he set through a life well lived.



Forever loved, always remembered, and never forgotten.

He is survived by his six daughters: Lisa Roy, Tina Doucette, Patty Doucette,
Jackie Balog (Greg), Dawn Tyler (Tom), and Donna Doucette (Greg).

He is also survived by six stepchildren shared with Patricia: Joseph Violette,
Brian Violette, Stacey, Jeffrey Violette, Eric Violette, Nicole, and Amy Bastien.

Ronald leaves behind many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 9 AM from
Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, to St. Matthew Church for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial.

Burial will be private.
